There’s no arguing. Birmingham is home to some of the most exciting food in the country. From the Balti Triangle to its many Michelin stars, there’s much to admire. So the chance to taste an array of tantalising local foods all in one place is a mouth-watering opportunity we can’t overlook, as the much-loved Colmore Food Festival returns on September 13 & 14.
After moving to a new location last year, the free festival is back at its original home in Victoria Square. Attracting over 30,000 visitors each year, you’ll be able to try some of the best food and drink offerings from across the Colmore Business District. Guests can expect an appetising and affordable selection of mouth-watering taster dishes from the traders’ latest menus.
After a triumphant post-COVID return last summer, visitors will be spoilt for choice once again with everything from the fine dining experience of Adams to the Middle Eastern flavours of Cleopatra’s Kitchen and celebrity hotspot Asha’s on board. As always, organisers are placing price caps on food and drinks to create an affordable but unforgettable experience.
Visitors will be spoilt for choice offering a selection of meat, vegetarian, and vegan options, as well as a selection of wines, beers, cocktails, and soft drinks. A range of sustainable practices – from 100% reusable packaging to portion measure controls to minimise food waste – will also be promoted. Colmore Food Festival will take place between 11am and 8pm on both days.
