Is it Mickey Mouse or a dinosaur on the Bullring? Or is all you see a stratocumulus and an altostratus? However you see the sky above, cloud gazing can be a calming break from the world beyond (anyone else stopped watching the news recently?) Birmingham Botanical Gardens invites you to unwind and float off this Easter.
From Saturday, March 28, to Sunday, April 12, the historic botanic garden invites you to its giant open-air studio for cloud gazing. Bring a picnic blanket or sink into one of the giant beanbags and gaze into the skies. You’ll not only be sparking your imagination, but also learning how clouds form, shift and stretch in real time.

As you relax, pop on your headphones and drift off with an immersive audio journey, Cloudscapes, beautifully crafted by artist Lorna Rees of Gobbledegook Theatre. Blending storytelling, sky science and dreamy thoughts, designed to spark curious minds, you’re no longer just watching the clouds, but travelling through them.
On top, you can only deepen the cloudfest with the Cloud Library—filled with sky books, photographs, science and adventures! Plus, from Good Friday to Easter Monday (April 3 to 6), Cloudscapes artist Lorna Rees will stop by to enhance the experience.
How can I visit the Sky Garden?

The Sky Garden is open from March 28 to April 12, between 10am and 5pm, in The Gardens. It is free to attend with a Birmingham Botanical Gardens entry or membership.
