You can hear it coming miles off. Hundreds of revving engines, beeping motorbike horns, and booming Christmas songs. This isn’t Hell’s Angels, but Santa’s On A Bike, arguably the most Christmassy motorbike gang in the UK. It’s one of the most surreal festive sights you’ll see in the Midlands all year long.
Hundreds of Santas, snowmen, elves and reindeer will be riding their festive-decorated bike this festive period (Saturday, December 14). All bikes, trikes and quads are welcome to join in – with a fully L-plate-friendly ride planned. But even if you can’t ride, you’re invited down as a spectator to help raise money for a local children’s charity.
Riders are coming in from all over the Midlands to meet at Cornmill Yard in Evesham from 10am. It won’t set off until 12pm, however, when it will head off on its journey towards Acorns Childrens Hospice. The 34-mile route will drive through the likes of Broadway, Willersey, Bretforton, Badsey.
Where can I see Santa’s on a Bike?
If you want the best chance of catching the stream of Santas in Bristol, Santa’s on a Bike will follow this route: Santa’s on a Bike leaves Evesham for a ride around the Cotswolds villages of Broadway, Willersey, Bretforton, Badsey, back to Evesham, Pershore and finishing in Worcester for 2:30PM. You will find food and hot drinks available at Acorn Children’s Hospice. The will also be prizes for best dressed and most decorated bikes, as well as a raffle.
How do I donate?
If you’d like to donate, Santa’s on a Bike is raising money for Acorns Children’s Hospice – who provide specialist 24-hour care and support for hundreds of local babies, children and young people. You can learn more about donating and getting involved in the ride by heading here.
