Honestly, the cost of a bag of Mini Eggs is extortionate these days, but I will not let a silly thing like money stop me from buying them. The taste, the smell, the look, they’re all so perfectly formed. But have you ever been halfway through a bag and thought: ‘What would a big Mini Egg be like? A Mega Mini Egg?’
Think no longer, because Cadbury World’s mad chocolatiers have cracked it. After the success of the world’s largest Cadbury Creme Egg, which was created last year, they have turned their attention to a giant version of the other much-loved Easter favourite—the world’s largest Cadbury Mini Egg.
The Mega Mini Egg is now on show at Cadbury World (from Monday, March 30). Claire Fielding, Dawn Jenks and Donna Pitt handcrafted the giant Mini Egg from start to finish over two days. The egg stands at 70 centimetres tall and weighs a whopping 55kg. That’s the same weight as an adult cheetah.

The egg is finished with the iconic pastel-pink sugar coating, a crisp shell, and subtle speckles scattered across the surface. Giving the Mega Mini Egg its signature spring-inspired look. The one-of-a-kind chocolatey creation will remain on display in Bournville throughout the Easter holidays.
“We took that instantly recognisable shell and chocolate centre and scaled it up into a real showstopper,” said Claire Fielding, Chocolatier at Cadbury World. “It’s been so rewarding seeing it come to life, and we can’t wait for visitors to come and see it in person this Easter.”
