Jenny believes her new home is haunted. Her husband Sam isn’t having any of it. They’re staying up until 2:22 to see who’s right. In a tale of belief vs. scepticism, ‘2:22 – A Ghost Story’ is the supernatural thriller that’s enjoyed worldwide success since its debut in 2021 at the Noel Coward Theatre in London.
Fresh from record-breaking seasons at five West End theatres, the stage show will embark on a brand-new, extensive UK-wide tour this autumn, opening at Manchester Opera House on August 4, 2025, and continuing through to November—including a stop at Birmingham’s The Alexandra from October 13 to 18.
Written by award-winning writer Danny Robins, creator of the hit BBC podcast and TV series ‘Uncanny’, ‘2:22 – A Ghost Story’ sees Strictly Come Dancing’s 2018 champions, Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, reunite for this UK tour. They play Jenny and Sam, respectively, while Shvorne Marks plays their old friend Lauren, with Grant Kilburn as her new partner Ben.
‘2:22 – A Ghost Story’ won the WhatsOnStage award for Best New Play in 2022. This production is directed by Matthew Dunster, with set design by Anna Fleischle, costume design by Cindy Lin, lighting design by Lucy Carter, sound by Ian Dickinson and illusions by Chris Fisher. There will be a second leg of the tour running from January 8 to June 20, 2026, with casting to be announced.
