The UK’s second-best family walk is right here in Birmingham. Arguably the most popular park in the city, Cannon Hill Park has everything from acres of green space to a theme park designed for young children, a 36-hole mini golf course, and a cultural venue for exhibitions, cinema, and craft workshops.
CEWE, the Warwick-based photo printing company, analysed thousands of Google reviews to find budget-friendly ways to entertain the kids. The research scored locations by analysing reviews containing family-friendly phrases (such as ‘kids’, ‘easy’ and ‘family’) alongside overall review ratings.
With 1,678 family-centric reviews, it holds a 4.6-star rating, 17,400 Instagram hashtags, 7.3 million TikTok views and 11,512 total reviews. Covering 250 acres of beautiful woodland and leafy open spaces, it is the perfect spot for a family picnic, lake fishing or a relaxing swan pedal boat ride.

Cannon Hill Park
The award-winning Cannon Hill Park opened to the public in 1873—donated to the people of Birmingham by philanthropist Louisa Ryland—covers around 250 acres (of which around 120 acres are set aside for conservation and woodland plantation).
