Ali Campbell has one of the most recognisable voices in British reggae. His soulful, dulcet tones are key to hits like ‘Red, Red Wine’, ‘Kingston Town’, and ‘(I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You’. So you can’t help but feel something’s missing whenever UB40 perform without him.
You see, don’t get the two confused. Ali Campbell left UB40 in 2008 (only to be replaced by his brother). But by 2014, Ali had had enough of watching “Duncan murdering my songs” and launched his own version of the band, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, and creating the mess of two UB40s running around.

And both are performing in Birmingham this year for arena-sized homecoming shows—you know, because they’re just that big of a band! With the original band heading to BP Pulse Live in June, Ali Campbell has just announced a huge show at Utilita Arena this winter.
UB40 featuring Ali Campbell will embark on a ten-date winter tour that also sees them stop in Dublin, Glasgow, London, Manchester, Nottingham, and more. The ‘Big Love’ tour will be at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on Saturday, December 5.
