UB40 are one of those bands, alongside Black Sabbath, Electric Light Orchestra, and Duran Duran, that should make Birmingham proud of its musical output. Hits like ‘Red, Red Wine’, ‘Kingston Town’, and ‘(I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You’ turned the Brummie reggae-pop group into global superstars.
While the split of Ali Campbell from the group has slightly soured the band’s legacy in recent years (don’t confuse UB40 with UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell), there’s no denying them as one of Birmingham’s greatest ever exports. The whole city should be excited by their homecoming show at BP Pulse Live next year.
Robin Campbell and Co. will be heading on a huge UK arena tour next summer, kicking off at Brighton Centre on June 1, 2026. This includes shows at London’s OVO Arena Wembley (June 5), Manchester’s AO Arena (June 6) and Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena (June 12).
This is all before one final show in Birmingham on June 20, 2026. The UK tour is in support of a brand-new album (title and artwork to be announced soon) that can be pre-ordered now. Support for these shows comes from fellow British legends on the reggae circuit, Maxi Priest and Aswad.
