While it doesn’t quite feel like it right now, it’s coon to get very very hot in Birmingham. The need to cool off is going to very quickly become a must. And no, stocking up on fans and paddling pools from Argos isn’t going to cut it. We’re thinking of seaside towns, beaches and outdoor swimming spots. So luckily the Summer Beach Club will open near Birmingham very soon.
This brand-new waterpark will launch later this month, featuring a large beach, three inflatable children’s pools and water slides. Seeing as it’s only a 90-minute drive from Birmingham, we bet it’s going to be a splashing success in these parts. You’re definitely going to want to take a family day trip to Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre this summer.
Summer Beach Club will be open for six weeks only, from July 21 to September 3. So you’ll want to move quickly, especially when entrance is as cheap as £2.50 per person. For this bargain price, you’ll have all-day access to a whole beach and a range of entertainment.
What can I expect at Summer Beach Club?
Firstly, Summer Beach Club contain a 1,000 sqm beach. While there’s also a seaside-style theme park featuring fairground rides like waltzers and dodgems. Plus, rollercoasters, a carousel and a helter-skelter. The Summer Fun Squad will also host themed party games and entertainment for children to enjoy – like foam parties, balloon modelling and mini discos – daily between 1 pm and 4 pm. Entrance to the AquaSplash waterpark costs an extra £5 but comes with a collection of slides across three children’s pools.
While the kids (and big kids) play, adults can unwind at the Beach Retreat. Sip on cocktails, mocktails or beers while you enjoy regular entertainment and live music throughout the day. There will also be new street food vendors serving the park each week, while slushies and ice creams will also be available. To learn more head here.
