If you haven’t yet tried Popeyes’ world-famous chicken sandwich, what’s stopping you? For almost a year, Popeyes has been available in Birmingham City Centre, but the Louisiana-style fried chicken spot—which has had customers queuing around the block to try—is opening three new West Midlands restaurants very soon.
Birmingham Fort, Wednesbury and Tyseley (the last two are Drive Thru) mark their 17th, 18th and 19th UK openings this year. And, as always, Popeyes is bringing its signature New Orleans hospitality to the region with exciting launch day giveaways—including free merchandise for the first 50 customers. So get down early to avoid disappointment!
The first four people on foot and the first four at the Park & Serve bays at Birmingham Fort will each win free Chicken Sandwiches for a year, while the first 100 in the queue will bag a free Chicken Sandwich each. At Wednesbury and Tyseley, the same applies, but it’s the first three on foot and the first three cars at the drive-thru, while the first 50 in each queue get a free Sandwich.

- Wednesbury Drive-Thru on Friday, May 23 at 11AM
- Tyseley Drive Thru on Monday, June 2 at 11AM
Tom Crowley, Popeyes UK Chief Executive Officer, said: “We’re really excited to be opening three new restaurants across Birmingham this May and June. With both dine-in and speedy takeaway options available, tuck into fan-favourites like the iconic Chicken Sandwich, Hot Wings, Tenders, and Signature Chicken Wraps. Plus, try the new Saucin’ Boneless and Hot Wings range, Popeyes Breakfast menu at all three locations. All of Popeyes’ chicken is halal certified and marinated for 12 hours in its signature bold Louisiana seasoning, then hand-breaded and battered for its signature ‘Shatter Crunch’.
Three more Popeyes locations are expected at Birmingham Airport (BHX), Birmingham New Street Station (BHM) and Perry Barr later this year.
