It feels like it’s been a lifetime of waiting for the ‘Peaky Blinders’ movie, but the wait is almost over. There are two months until we sit down and watch ‘The Immortal Man’. Finally getting closure on the Birmingham crime gang that’s become a global phenomenon—or, at least, keeping us entertained until a new season.
With the first season taking place in the direct aftermath of the First World War, ‘The Immortal Man’ sets Tommy Shelby amidst the chaos of World War II. In between, the Peaky Blinders have come face-to-face with communists, fascists, the IRA and the New York Mafia, but this looks to be their biggest story yet.

Written by Steven Knight and directed by Tom Harper, ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ stars some big Hollywood names, too. Joining Cillian Murphy are Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Barry Keoghan and Stephen Graham, among many more well-known faces.
When can I watch ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’?
Unlike the TV series, which is available on BBC iPlayer, ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ will be released on Netflix on March 20. If you’d like to catch it on the big screen, and not just on your sofa like you normally would, or just see it earlier than that, then it will also be released in select cinemas on March 6.
Where will it make its world premiere?
Stephen Knight has confirmed that “this March, the Peaky Blinders feature film ‘The Immortal Man’ will be screened for the first time ever, in a world wide premiere, at a venue to be announced, in the City of Birmingham. The Shelbys are coming home, and you are invited to join us. By order of the Peaky Blinders.”
Unfortunately, this doesn’t leave us with much information on where or when or even who. It’ll likely take place sometime in the first week of March, but we can only hope that Birmingham’s biggest ‘Peaky Blinders’ fans are among the first to watch this final act of Thomas Shelby.
What is the future of ‘Peaky Blinders’?

While this very much looks like the end of the road for Thomas Shelby, the BBC has already announced two new series from Steven Knight telling the story of a new generation of Shelbys. Set in 1953, the ‘Peaky Blinders’ story will follow “the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project.”
“I’m thrilled to be announcing this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story,” said Steven Knight. “Once again, it will be rooted in Birmingham and will tell the story of a city rising from the ashes of the Birmingham blitz. The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel and it will be a hell of a ride.”
