The hype for Peaky Blinders isn’t dying down, is it? Whether it’s restaurants, graffiti, museum experiences, walking tours, and potentially even a theme park, we can’t get enough of the Birmingham-based hit series. And with the movie expected to be released in 2026, you know that Peaky Blinders-themed stuff isn’t going anywhere.
So, of course, it makes sense to bring back the beloved dance theatre stage adaptation to Birmingham Hippodrome. After sell-out performances in 2022/23, the leading British dance company Rambert return with Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby on June 11 to 14, 2025.
Written and adapted for the stage by Peaky Blinders’ creator Steven Knight, with choreography and direction from Rambert’s artistic director Benoit Swan Pouffer, the captivating show combines dazzling, athletic dance with the hard-hitting storytelling you know and love.
Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby is described as: “Opening in the trenches of Flanders, a personal story unfolds in post-war industrial Birmingham as the Shelby family navigate the decisions that determine their fate and Tommy is intoxicated by a mysterious newcomer, Grace.
The production features the full Rambert company with a live band, specially commissioned music and iconic Peaky tracks like Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds’ ‘Red Right Hand’, The Last Shadow Puppets’ ‘Bad Habits’ and Anna Calvi’s ‘You’re Not God’. “You can never quite tell whether you’re at a dance show or a grungy rock gig,” said The Telegraph.
Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby is at Birmingham Hippodrome from June 11 to 14, 2025. Tickets start from £28 and can be purchased here.
