There may not have been a St Patrick’s Parade this year in the end, but Birmingham’s Irish community came together in Digbeth in the end. And now, Páirc Summer Series, the UK’s biggest celebration of Irish music and culture, is back in Kings Heath with plenty of world-class artists this August.
Heading to the King’s Heath Irish Centre on the August Bank Holiday weekend (August 23 & 24), Pairc Summers Series sees the Saw Doctors and Nathan Carter headline the two-day outdoor festival. Plus, a specially curated show from Sharon Shannon Big Band featuring Liam Ó Moanlai from Hothouse Flowers, Mundy, Camille O’Sullivan & Cait O’Riordan from The Pogues, on Sunday night.

Also performing at the independent Birmingham-Irish festival are The Undertones, The High Kings, Tumbling Paddies, Fin Furey, and The Young Wolfe Tones. Plus, tonnes of local Irish acts, including The Pogue Traders, The Father Teds, Lampa, and One For The Road. On top, enjoy entertainment in the festival’s street food village, market stalls celebrating local makers and traditional Irish produce, and Guinness on tap!
“We can’t wait to be back at The New Irish Centre in King’s Heath this August Bank Holiday,” Ciaran Healy, co-owner of the festival, said. “Big thank you to everyone who has already bought a ticket to our 2025 show. We can’t wait for The Saw Doctors to come to Birmingham – this year is shaping up to be a very special edition of Pairc!”
An all-new Irish Village, hosted by the Birmingham-Irish Association, will also launch for 2025. You’ll find it promoting Irish culture with a plethora of workshops and activities, including: music workshops to play the tin whistle and bodhran; cookery classes for soda bread making; Gaelic language workshops; kids’ GAA and hurling activities; and an Irish shop serving up the iconic flavours of Ireland.
