There may not have been a St Patrick’s Parade this year in the end, but Birmingham’s Irish community came together in Digbeth to celebrate anyway. Now, they’ll be showing us all how to party again in August. Páirc Summer Series, the UK’s biggest celebration of Irish music and culture, is back in King’s Heath with plenty of world-class artists for 2025.
Heading to the King’s Heath Irish Centre on the August Bank Holiday weekend (August 23 & 24), Pairc Summers Series sees the Saw Doctors and Nathan Carter headline the two-day outdoor festival. Plus, a specially curated show from Sharon Shannon Big Band featuring Liam Ó Moanlai from Hothouse Flowers, Mundy, Camille O’Sullivan & Cait O’Riordan from The Pogues, on Sunday night.
Ciaran Healy, co-owner of the festival, said, “We can’t wait to be back at The New Irish Centre in King’s Heath this August Bank Holiday. Big thank you to everyone who has already bought a ticket to our 2025 show. We can’t wait for The Saw Doctors to come to Birmingham – this year is shaping up to be a very special edition of Pairc!”
Also performing at the independent Birmingham-Irish festival are The Undertones, The High Kings, Tumbling Paddies, Fin Furey, and The Young Wolfe Tones. Plus, tonnes of local Irish acts, including The Pogue Traders, The Father Teds, Lampa, and One For The Road. On top, enjoy entertainment in the festival’s street food village, market stalls celebrating local makers and traditional Irish produce, and Guinness on tap!
Tickets go on pre-sale on Wednesday, April 23 at 10am, while remaining tickets go on general sale on Friday, April 25 at 10am. You can learn more about getting yours here.
