Hands up, who’s still got to go Christmas shopping? According to a recent poll, more than a third (36%) of people in the West Midlands haven’t finished – and you might be in luck for leaving it so late. Merry Hill is spreading cheer and alleviating stress with ‘surprise treats’ for visitors over the next five days.
From Monday to Friday (December 16 – 20), the West Midlands shopping complex is treating shoppers to some extra reasons to be cheerful this festive season. With more than half (57%) of shoppers saying that deals and discounts make shopping feel a little easier, it will be surprising visitors with 50 free shopping vouchers.
“We have had an incredible year, welcoming millions of visitors and we wanted to give a little back to and show our appreciation this holiday season,” said Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager at Merry Hill. “Our research shows how much people still enjoy Christmas shopping in real life.
“While December is one of the most wonderful months of the year, we know that the festive season can sometimes feel equal parts stressful and joyous. Our week of surprises will help alleviate some of the stress visitors might feel at Christmas so they can shop with ease and continue to enjoy the range of conveniences the centre has to offer all in one place, under one giant roof.”
