Arch 13 is much-loved here in Birmingham for its cheese and charcuterie and is also home to Connolly’s wine bar. Shopping for an avid reader? A lovely, hand-picked book is always an easy gift idea. The Heath is one of Birmingham’s newest independent bookshops, but are always on hand for suggestions – from wintery novels to interesting non-fiction. We could spend hours in this cute and cosy bookshop, with shelves upon shelves of paperbacks, but we have to remember we’re shopping for other people!
