Luna Springs will open their new outdoor cinema on May 19, and tickets are already on sale.
As outdoor spaces become the destination du jour for our post-lockdown socialising, Luna Springs is launching their own permanent outdoor cinema. First, they revealed plans to bring an outdoor bottomless brunch to town, and now, they’re following that up with a brand new outdoor cinema, bringing open air movie nights under the moonlight to Digbeth Arena from May 19 – with even more movie night sessions now added. You can find your tickets here, or read on for more information.
As some indoor cinemas may not reopen until later this summer, heading to this outdoor screening venue to catch flicks under the stars sounds like a pretty dreamy alternative. Luna Springs has got a line-up of films that caters to everyone; Mamma Mia and Dirty Dancing will get you shimmying and grooving, Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther will allow you to escape into the Marvel Universe, and Hot Fuzz and The Hangover will have you splitting your sides with laughter.
The films are only part of the attraction, however, as you can supplement your cinemagoing experience with popcorn, sweets, and even an hour of bottomless prosecco or beer as you immerse yourself in the magic of the big screen. Luna Springs’ outdoor space combines sensational street food, delicious drinks and fabulous films, making it the perfect place for your grand return to being somewhere, anywhere that isn’t the same four walls you’ve seen for the past months.
Meanwhile, to keep everyone safe and healthy, Luna Springs will be following social distancing rules, wipe down and sanitise tables and seating after each use, and have plenty of hand sanitiser on site. Luna Spring’s Moonlight Cinema is the place to be this summer, so make your way down to Digbeth when the film nights kick off on May 19, and prepare to experience a night of total cinematic enchantment! The 80 seater outdoor cinema kicks off with the John Travolta movie classic Grease, then it will be showing a different film every day from Wednesdays to Sundays.
