We all played sleeping lions at primary school, right? Well, not like this you haven’t. As of today (July 7) West Midland Safari Park has officially opened its Lion Lodges where you can spend the night and watch the safari park’s pride of lions roam the land. This is truly wild!
There have long been several animal-themed lodges at West Midland Safari Park. Placing you up close and personal with some of nature’s wildest animals – from red pandas to cheetahs, tigers and elephants. But everyone knows that the King of the Jungle is the fearsome lion.
These luxury lodges are designed to give you an “up-close and immersive overnight wildlife experience like no other.” There are four one-storey lodges to book, which can sleep up to six people, situated in the lions’ new habitat. Both the bedrooms and living quarters feature giant windows that provide panoramic views of the enclosure. So you don’t miss a single bit of the action and help you sleep with one eye open.
This unique experience will let eat, sleep and relax while the park’s four male lions play and explore their new home. The four brothers – all born at the attraction in the summer of 2019 – are called Havoc, Hodge, Harabi and Hercules. You’ll get to know them quite well during this unique stay. (Havoc has the darkest fur in the group!)
While you’re staying with this magnificent pride, you’ll have access to all of West Midland Safari Park’s other attractions too. This includes the Adventure Theme Park, which is full of thrilling rides; the African Walking Trail that lets you stroll up to elephants, giraffes and white rhinos; and a visit to one of the rarest big cats in the world, the Sumatran tiger in the Tiger Tropics.
