More of a motorhead than a metalhead? Then Birmingham is about to become a lot more interesting for driving enthusiasts. The world’s first official Formula 1 simulator will open its second UK racing experience this November. F1 Arcade, which already runs one venue in London, will offer all the thrills and spills of Grand Prix racing without leaving the city.
Driving into Paradise Birmingham on November 21, F1 Arcade is now open for bookings too. 53 bespoke full-motion racing simulators feature motion and audio-visual effects to fully immerse racers. And have been uniquely designed by a leading simulator design company in conjunction with F1.
Those wanting to strap will also be able to create their own personal driver profiles at the ‘Arcade Hub’, alongside access to a number of other cutting-edge tech features. F1 Arcade will host a Watch Party on Grand Prix race days, while DJs will keep the atmosphere pumping on weekends.
Starting at £15.95 per driver, there are two race formats to choose from. Team Racing, for groups of six guests or more, sets up one racing simulator per team – where you “race as a team, win as a team”. Head To Head, meanwhile, is geared towards smaller groups of up to five people, where back-to-back races set up one racing simulator per driver.
“Birmingham was the obvious choice for our second venue opening in partnership with Formula 1 and we are thrilled to bring one of the world’s most sought-after hospitality experiences to the city,” said Adam Breeden, CEO and founder of F1 Arcade. “Birmingham’s legendary automotive heritage and, of course, the fact it was once host to the thrilling Super Prix, makes this city the perfect home for F1 Arcade. We can’t wait to become part of the city’s vibrant leisure scene.”
You won’t just be driving, however, as the simulator will also serve food, everything from burgers to tacos, and flatbreads to sharing platters. It looks boujee too, with items like Aged Beef Tartare, Korean Gochujang Cauliflower Wings, Wagyu Beef Burger and Cornish White Crab Caesar Salad. A range of F1-inspired drinks will also be available at the bar. To learn more about F1 Arcade in Birmingham and book a driving seat head here.
