Crepe City, the leading trainer event in Europe, will be coming to Birmingham for the first time ever, and we’re more than a little bit excited. The event, which will be held at Secret Space, Digbeth, on Saturday, September 10, will bring with it more than 100 traders who will be showcasing some of the rarest and most in-demand sneakers in the world, giving trainer-fiends the chance to see, feel and purchase a fresh set of crepes (or two, or three…)
The event, which has had huge success here in cities, such as London, Manchester, and Glasgow, will do more than just display these trainers – the venue will have a festival-style vibe, where you’ll be able to flit between panel discussions, street food stalls, live DJ sets and more.
Crepe City was founded by Ronal Raichura in London back in 2009 as the first event where people who like sneakers could meet up, socialise and trade in the rarest and most desirable trainers. It has since grown into Europe’s largest pop-up sneaker shop and lifestyle festival, hosted in various cities, with thousands of hard-to-find shoes on sale.
In between scouring the stalls for your new set of crepes, you can attend panel discussions featuring well-known faces in the trainer industry, enter competitions, and feast on varied street food. There’ll be live performances and a DJ playing throughout the day, plus there’ll be a bar to quench your thirst.
