There’s a reason Crepe City has become Europe’s largest sneaker and lifestyle festival. What started with pretty humble origins for sneakerheads to connect and swap their rarest kicks, has grown into a worldwide event thanks to its unrivalled passion for sneaker culture. It’s making its return to Birmingham this weekend (August 3) playing host to some of the UK’s leading resellers.
Expect the best stockists and resellers in the country all under one roof as well as top-tier entertainment throughout the day. If you’ve been struggling to find a certain pair of trainers for a while, chances are you’ll find them here at Crepe City. Better yet, if you’re into your fashion you can also pick up clothing from streetwear icons as well as luxury brands.
Crepe City will return to NEC Arena for the festival as it marks the 15th anniversary of the brand, which was started in 2009 by founder Ronal Raichura in a Notting Hill basement, hosting around 100 people. This year, expect thousands of sneaker and fashion enthusiasts to turn up for an engaging celebration of streetwear culture, a plethora of resellers and numerous immersive activities.
The festival has teamed up with several brands to let attendees get their hands on exclusive items. Crep Protect will be offering a sneaker cleaning service as well as an opportunity to win some high-value pairs through their keymaster machine; ShoeStack will give fans the chance to win some goodies with a display box activation; and Slick Gorilla will be giving away some of their high-quality hair care products.
There will also be an appearance from Garmentz Lab. the leading Stone Island and CP Company vendor in the UK who will be hosting an archive pop-up. They will be joined by Golazzo, who specialise in archive football shirts. Crepe City will also be teaming up with The Sole Supplier for the event, who will become the official stage partner.
Sole Supplier said: “The Sole Supplier is excited to become the official stage partner for Birmingham, marking our 10th anniversary with exclusive giveaways on a first come, first served basis. Our stage takeover will feature “Guess The Sneaker Live”, plus we’ll be capturing the best fits and sneakers for our TikTok and Insta, showcasing the event to our 1.2 million followers. Be part of the ultimate sneaker festival experience!”
Over 200 vendors will be taking part at Crepe City. Whether people want to get their hands on the rarest of kicks or just want to network with like-minded streetwear enthusiasts, there should be something for everyone on Saturday, August 3.
