I’ve never been the biggest fan of guns, but even I’ll admit the Paris Olympics is making shooting look cool. Between the nonchalant Turkish shooter, Yusuf Dikec, Korea’s ice-cold Kim Yej, and Great Britain’s Olympic record-breaking Nathan Hales, we’re ready to fire away this summer. But maybe we’ll have to wait until November for Clays to open in Birmingham.
Having made a name for itself as London’s premier clay shooting destination, Clays will open the doors to its third venue in Birmingham’s historic Piccadilly Arcade later this year. Using its proprietary technology, the activity bar lets shooters choose from a collection of six fully digitalised games.
The Birmingham location will allow players to choose between a semi-private booth or their very own private room, where they are then transported to quintessential British shooting grounds. And although you won’t be shooting any real guns, Clays’ technology ensures maximum precision down to the sub-millimetre – replicating the real-life sport in this immersive experience.
Clays founder, Tom Snellock, comments: “The last twelve months have been an incredibly exciting time for Clays, and I’m so glad that we can officially announce our expansion into Birmingham. Piccadilly Arcade is a building steeped in history, so it’s fantastic that we can now be a part of that. We’re looking forward to welcoming guests into Clays Birmingham and continuing to grow across the country – this is only the beginning!”
With a capacity for 500 guests, Clays Birmingham will be split across three floors in a 12,000 sq. ft space. Clays will be home to eight traditional shooting pegs, four of which will be private rooms, and each will allow for shooting, eating and entertaining. As with the other two Clays sites in London, food and drink will be at the heart of the Clays Birmingham offering.
The indoor interactive Clay shooting experience and bar, Clays, opened its first venue in Moorgate in November 2021. The games are ever-evolving, based on customer behaviour, to create a competitive gaming experience for all. The other London site is based in Canary Wharf, with many more UK venues to follow the Birmingham opening in 2025.
You’ll find Clays Birmingham at 105 New Street, Birmingham, B2 4EU. To learn more head here.
