This spring, the Candlelight series is bringing an absolutely magical experience to Birmingham—open-air Candlelight concerts. A talented string quartet will take to the outdoor stage surrounded by nature and the over 1,000 plants and flowers thriving at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Guided by masterpieces written by the likes of Whitney Houston and Pink Floyd, these classical performances make for an enchanting evening out. What’s more, you can unwind in this breathtaking setting bathed in the glow of hundreds of flickering candles.
Candlelight at The Birmingham Botanical Gardens
Designed by J.C. Loudon, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens have provided the setting for significant events in the city, including drama festivals, flower shows, political meetings, and concerts. An aviary, a zoological collection, and 19th century glasshouses are some of the venue’s major attractions. Fortunately, the colourful flowers and rare plants are lending their beauty to provide the backdrop for some unforgettable Candlelight concerts.
If you like rocking out to Pink Floyd or maybe Whitney Houston is your kind of thing, then Candlelight has you covered with a tribute to these iconic artists and performers.
Nothing comes close to the calming experience of sitting outdoors whilst a classically-trained string quartet serenades you with soothing melodies surrounded by a sea of candles. These open-air Candlelight concerts at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens are set to delight audiences with their welcome combination of music and nature.
The concerts take place at 8:30pm on each evening and are 60 minutes long. The doors will open 45 minutes prior to the start time.
Note: For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
