Is your boss a dead ringer for Wayne Rooney? Or does one of your mates get mistaken for Jack Grealish on nights out? Well, it’s time to put these lookalikes to good use, as they could win a £250 bar tab just by looking like a famous footballer.
Ahead of the Euros starting this Friday (and the first England game on Sunday), the Birmingham sports bar BOX has opened a competition to find all the footballing doppelgängers in the city. Entrants can submit photos for a free pint and the chance of winning a £250 bar tab for the Final
BOX opened in Birmingham this time last year as a ‘game-changing’ sports bar. With 36 top-of-the-range TVs screening all the action this summer, you’ll be able to watch every game of Euros 2024. It also has locations in Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham.
How do I enter?
You can submit photos of yourself, friends, or family who resemble any famous footballers, male or female, past and present. Here’s how you do it:
- Tag @theboxbaruk in your Instagram story with your lookalike image
- Use the hashtag #BOXDOPPLEGANGER
- Send a direct message to BOX containing your entry
Every entrant will earn themselves a free pint, so there’s no excuse not to get involved! The best lookalikes will then be invited to a special photoshoot, with one overall winner crowned and awarded a £250 bar tab for a table of six during the UEFA EURO 2024 final on Sunday, July 14.
So, if your dad bears a remarkable resemblance to Maradona, your sister is the spitting image of Lauren James, or your colleague looks exactly like Gareth Southgate, start submitting those pictures now. To learn more about this competition and BOX head here.
What else is on at BOX during the UEFA Euro 2024?
Every Wednesday at BOX Brindleypace, a weekly EUROs-themed quiz will test fans’ knowledge. Meanwhile, a limited-edition menu features Currywurst Loaded Fries, the Bavarian Burger, and the ‘Olympian’ pizza. Plus, you can get two-pint beer steins, Brewdog Mini-kegs, and a host of EUROs-themed drinks.
Laura Lewis, Marketing Director at ARC Inspirations, commented: “We’re excited for EURO 2024 to kick off a huge summer of sport at BOX. This competition is the perfect start, and we can’t wait to see all the entrants and crown the overall winner. We’re looking forward to welcoming fans at our venues and hopefully celebrating a successful summer for the England team!”
