The bottomless brunch is a thought-out art form that few want to mess with. But, KIBOU Japanese Kitchen & Bar has rarely followed the script – just check out its Japanese-inspired afternoon tea to be convinced. So instead of classic bottomless bubbly, KIBOU is offering endless sushi with its latest menu.
The Japanese restaurant’s new take on “bottomless” at its Solihull branch is now available every Sunday from 12pm to 3pm. The new bottomless sushi menu is restricted to a 90-minute session, but features a selection of Japanese hot small plates to share. Plus, an unlimited assortment of house nigiri, maki and gunkan.
You’ll find dishes such as Japanese street food favourite, takoyaki (crispy batter balls with a small piece of octopus in the centre), grilled teriyaki eel and cucumber uramaki, gunkan scallop and KIBOU’s much-loved signature sushi, the Volcano Roll (a tempura-battered futomaki filled with salmon, avocado, and tobiko, and drizzled with KIBOU’s special sauces).
Priced at just £34 per person, you can also make this a boozy bottomless brunch for an extra £21 per person. Add an unlimited drinks package for an everlasting selection of Japanese-inspired mimosas (yuzu, or cherry and elderflower), Kirin Ichiban lager, prosecco, or house wine. A non-alcoholic alternative – with rhubarb and jasmine fizz along with house sodas – can be added for £15.
But it’s not just sushi you can get your hands on at the Solihull restaurant. KIBOU – which also has restaurants in Bristol, Cambridge, Cheltenham, and London – also offers every Japanese delight you can think of. Bao buns, ramen, katsu curry, tempura and more make their way onto the day-to-day menu.
Designed with a vision to transport guests to the eclectic streets of Tokyo, KIBOU Solihull features a mix of traditional block print fabrics, neon signage and Japanese foliage. The 70-cover restaurant includes intimate dining areas, a spacious lounge, a standalone marble-decked bar, and an open sushi kitchen with high-top seating. Plus, an additional terrace outdoors to seat 25 people.
