It’s safe to say, we went mad for Blank Street Coffee when it opened in Birmingham back in September. Thanks to its viral, matcha drinks on TikTok and famous fans like Molly-Mae Hague and Sabrina Carpenter, it’s quickly become one of the city’s most popular cafes. So, for Christmas, it’s giving us Brummies a little something back…
This Weekend, Blank Street’s Gifting Grotto pop-up will hand out limited-edition merch to its loyal fanbase for the brand’s first-ever holiday experience. Visiting The Blank Gifting Kios, you’ll discover a huge selection of special gifts inspired by a classic and nostalgic Christmas, “reminiscent of opening stockings and sitting in front of the TV with family watching festive classics.”
Taking over the Bullring for three days only, you can expect to find gifts ranging from kitsch Christmas baubles to boxer shorts, novelty mugs and matcha candles. Don’t forget to swing by the coffee shop itself on St Martin’s Walk – for everything from Blueberry Matcha to a Shaken Brown Sugar Cold Brew, Pistachio Latte, or just a Flat White.
How do I get my hands on a Blank Street gift?
On either Friday, Saturday or Sunday (December 6-8), head down to The Blank Gifting Kiosk on Rotunda Square outside the Bullring, between 10am-6pm. Upon arrival, you’ll be given a special Christmas Gifting Grotto brochure – inspired by the iconic Argos catalogues of our childhoods – to pick out your gifts.
You’ll be able to pick out limited-edition, Blank Street-branded coffee, matcha, boxers, playing cards, calendars, candles and more. Plus, the catalogues come with drink sample tokens too, which you can redeem for a sample of vanilla fudge matcha and a sweet treat.
Once chosen, head to the gift-wrapping station for that extra special touch. Gift wrapping costs £3 for a small gift bag and £5 for a large gift bag. Along with bespoke wrapping, tags and greeting cards, each gift will be spritzed with a scent of choice, from Crème Brûlée, Winter Spice and Dark Chocolate.
