Let Everything Out And Smash Some Things At Birmingham’s Rage Room

Breaking news! Literally, this time.

This room in Birmingham allows you to smash up everything in your path as a form of release. Yes, that’s right. Birmingham Rage Room gives you a 30-minute window to break stuff. Simple as that. [Main image: Rage Room UK, Facebook]

Described as the first and best Rage Room in the UK, the experience is, perhaps unsurprisingly, pretty popular. Stress levels of day-to-day life are at a high, so it figures that people want a way to just let it all out. And what better way to do that than some mindless whacking-of-stuff, without the usual consequences?

When you’re steaming with rage, it might not be unusual to want to direct your anger at objects in your path, but of course, this means dealing with a degree of damage after the outburst. At Rage Room, however, it’s actively encouraged, so as to avoid any instances where it may happen at the wrong time.

Breakable items include glass bottles, flatscreen monitors, DVDs, and much more. You can even work as a team to really de-stress and let go! Bookings allow up to six people to smash up items put in front of them in the best way possible. This also allows you to split the cost of the room (£45 per 30-minute session) with your group, so it’s a big win.

In addition, special items are available for purchase to add to your smashing collection. These range from extra-large bottles (£1) to entire printers and photocopiers (£10). It is, of course, a controlled activity with a steward on hand at all times.

So, if you need to let it all out—or just find the idea of smashing up stuff for mindless fun very, very appealing—there’s no better place in the country than Birmingham Rage Room. It might even be a good first date idea. At least you’ll see each other’s true colours early on…

Birmingham Rage Room is open Wednesday-Friday. You can book sessions in advance here, and visit their Facebook for more information.
