The sandwich shop that’s so good they named it twice is finally coming to Birmingham. Known for its mammoth, Instagram-friendly sarnies, the Bristol-born Sandwich Sandwich already has locations in London, but it looks like it will be landing in the Second City this week.
Sandwich Sandwich will open on Thursday, October 22, at 43 Temple Street, and the first 500 people through the doors from 12pm will receive a FREE sandwich. On top of being able to pick out your perfect sandwich in person, the sandwich shop will offer click and collect, and Uber Eats delivery.
Tell me more about Sandwich Sandwich…
While they may look AI-generated to the untrained eye, Sandwich Sandwich has been serving jam-packed sandwiches since 2012 in Bristol. The family-run business attracted a cult-like following, serving up reasonably-priced, high-quality, homemade, and utterly delicious sandwiches across numerous sites.
But having put soggy supermarket sandwiches to shame for over ten years in the South West, Sandwich Sandwich finally launched in London in 2023—after winning UberEats’ Restaurant of the Year—and has since attracted such fans as Man v. Food’s Adam Richman, Lewis Capaldi and the Sidemen.
How does it work?
With a huge stack of super fresh fillings to choose from (using all locally sourced ingredients), enjoy anything from egg mayo and cauliflower wings to rare roast beef and tandoori chicken, and so much more. Stack it between two thick slices (white, granary or caraway), and you’ve got an epic Sandwich Sandwich sandwich.
If that’s not enough food for you to satisfy your lunchtime cravings, you will also find their legendary soft-boiled scotch eggs and sweet treats—like the drool-worthy twist on a British classic, the sticky toffee cheesecake. Or, swing by in the morning instead, and tuck into a whole array of breakfast classics.
Sandwich Sandwich will open on Thursday, October 22, at 43 Temple St, B2 5DP. Find out more about their mouth-watering sandwiches here.
