Taking place at various locations in Birmingham, these spectacular shows will illuminate the finest venues, specifically chosen for their beauty, history, or fame – or all three. In 2021, candlelight concerts took place in the likes of St Paul’s Church, which has more performances scheduled to take place in 2022. Birmingham Cathedral will also be on the schedule this year.

Choose to delve into an hour, or more, of mesmerising movie scores, modern pop hits, or classical concertos, all performed live. String performers, pianists or even a whole orchestra will take to the candlelit stage. Music from composer Ludovico Einaudi to Brit-pop band Coldplay will be getting the candlelight concert treatment this year, so keep an eye out for your favourites. Some shows will follow a theme, rather than focusing on a specific musical act; 2022 will see candlelight performances that focus on movie soundtracks and recognisable scores.
