Sir Rod Stewart, one of music history’s top-selling recording artists, has announced his farewell tour, The Final Encore, drawing the curtain on a live performing career spanning over six decades. Set for 2027, the tour will see Stewart return to venues across the UK and Europe including a show in Birmingham.
The run kicks off on April 23 at Dublin’s 3Arena and includes stops at London’s The O2, Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, and Berlin’s Uber Arena, before concluding on July 24 at Hannover’s ZAG Arena. Synth-pop pioneer Howard Jones will provide support across all UK and Ireland dates, performing high-energy hits like “What Is Love?” and “Things Can Only Get Better.”
Over his historic career, Stewart has secured 31 UK Top 10 singles (including 6 No. 1s) and 16 US Billboard Hot 100 Top 10s (including 4 No. 1s). His 11 UK No. 1 albums span more than half a century, stretching from his landmark 1971 release Every Picture Tells a Story to his 2024 chart-topper Swing Fever.
“After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last.”
Sir Rod Stewart said: “My dear friends, The time has come to say farewell to life on the road. After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last. I’ve been singing the music I love since I was 19 years old, and I’ve had the privilege of taking it around the world to all of you.
“It has given me a life beyond anything I could ever have imagined, and I hope I’ve given you some fond memories in return. So, may I take this opportunity to thank you for making this extraordinary life possible. I hope you’ll join me so I can thank you the best way I know how… with the music and one hell of a show. See you there.”
