The idea of kids and toddlers bopping to house music might sound like a fever dream, but it’s a regular occurrence in the Midlands. Big Fish Little Fish is the multi-generational rave, where parents and their little ones can dance, play, and enjoy some seriously good tunes.
From acid house to techno, drum and bass and more, these daytime bashes give grown-ups the chance to relive those clubbing days, while introducing the kids to the joy found in rave culture – think foam, confetti, balloons, bubbles, and beyond.
Kids get the full sensory experience, with a snow-themed sensory room, a crafting station, a pub quiz, and more. There’s even a chill-out zone for when you or the kids need a breather (because let’s face it, even seasoned ravers need a break sometimes). It’s not all about the kids though, the licensed and those nostalgic tunes make it an enjoyable experience for the whole family.
Think of it as a pop-up festival inside one of Birmingham’s most beloved galleries/cinemas, without any worries about finding a babysitter. Families from all over the city will be able to rave it up inside the Midlands Arts Centre, allowing you to party beside a plethora of fascinating art.
