Wings lovers of the West Midlands, unite! Wing Fest—the world’s largest chicken wing festival—once again lands at Hockley Social Club to celebrate the simplest yet most delicious street food ever created. From August 15 to 17, expect a mix of entertainment from epic eating competitions to incredible BBQ demonstrations and more.
As always, the festival will champion independent food traders from across the UK. This year’s line-up sees local favourites Bad Boy Wings, KiKi’s Fried Chicken, Magic Wingdom and more battling it out for the prestigious titles of Best Buffalo Wing, Best Wild Wing, and Best BBQ Wing—with Birmingham’s very own Aktar Islam judging.

The competition is set to get seriously heated, however, with the deadly Lava Wing Challenge—the UK’s hottest wing challenge. Then it’s time for the Flying Goose Wing Eating Competition, where festival goers compete against each other to see who can eat the most chicken wings in the fastest time.
This year’s Wing Fest is proudly supported by a sizzling line-up of sponsors. Deliveroo will be dishing out prizes to the winning traders, Beavertown is keeping the beer flowing, and Flying Goose Brand is providing utter sauciness. Entertainment includes live music, axe throwing, bourbon masterclasses, competitions, games and arcades.

Wing enthusiast Richard Thacker, who is from a family of chicken farmers, created Wing Fest a decade ago to champion independent food businesses and up-and-coming brands. The chicken wing festival now showcases a curated selection of street food traders, restaurants, BBQ teams and pop-ups around the country.
Wing Fest 2025 will be split into multiple sessions: a Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening, and a Sunday finale, designed to minimise queues and maximise wings. Tickets, which start from £19.50, include a Wing Fest signature trucker hat, free access to entertainment, competitions, and live music.
