It’s official: We’re buzzing for Christmas, and there’s still another two months to go! Since we heard that the Frankfurt Christmas Market would be returning this year, we’ve been quietly containing our excitement. But the return of Winter Funland has turned us festive mad.
As the UK’s largest indoor Christmas funfair, Winter Funland will return to Birmingham NEC from December 9 to January 1. With four hours of unlimited entertainment, the exhibition centre will be transformed over the festive period into a winter wonderland – without you needing to worry about the bad weather! So start fishing out your Christmas jumpers and get practising your ice skating now.
You can expect unlimited access to the funfair rides, such as waltzers, slides, dodgems, and much more. As well, there will be an enormous ice skating rink to show off your spins and slick skills on. If you’re a bit of a Bambi on ice, skate instructors are available to assist you in getting to grips with the basics. While children have access to skating aids too.
You can also check out The Christmas Circus, with mischievous clowns and awesome acrobats amazing us every day. Make sure to around for the jaw-dropping Globe of Steel. Plus, enjoy all the trimmings of a traditional circus you normally expect.
The big man himself will also be around every day until December 24. Father Christmas will be in his grotto welcoming children and making notes of their wish lists. Visits are an additional £7, with slots pre-booked when purchasing your ticket.
No festive celebrations would be right without a Christmas market. Here you’ll find a range of festive foods available to purchase across several stalls. Expect candy floss, mulled wine, sweets, as well as savoury foods such as burgers and hot dogs. Tickets are £29.50 each and £116 for a family of four.
