It’s official: Villa Park is set to host four games as part of the UEFA Euro 2028 tournament. It’s one of nine world-class football stadiums across eight cities in the UK and Ireland—including London, Glasgow, Manchester and Liverpool.
After launching yesterday (Wednesday, November 12), the build-up to the Euros has officially begun with the Library of Birmingham lit up in celebration. With more than three million match tickets available, it’s set to be the largest sporting event ever jointly staged by the co-host nations.
UEFA Euro 2028 begins at the National Stadium of Wales in Cardiff on Friday, June 9, and reaches an exciting conclusion with the final at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday, July 9. Villa Park will host games on June 11, 15, 20 and 27—this includes a R16 match.

The other host venues are Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, Manchester City Stadium in Manchester, Everton Stadium in Liverpool, St James’ Park in Newcastle, Hampden Park in Glasgow and Dublin Arena in Dublin.
“We’re incredibly proud that Villa Park has been selected as a host venue for UEFA Euro 2028, and today’s celebration events only add to that pride,” said Francesco Calvo, President of Business Operations at Aston Villa Football Club. “Having previously hosted international tournament matches, we look forward to welcoming Europe’s elite to our home once again.”
