It’s the razzle dazzle of Christmas that does it for us this time of year. We want bright lights and atmosphere abuzz with colour and excitement. There’s no need for understatement at Christmastime, only full-blown embracement of the holiday season is what we’re looking for. Luckily, this award-winning garden in Staffordshire, less than an hour’s drive from Birmingham, promises all that and more this winter.
Trentham Gardens will transform with an immersive, multisensory Christmas trail with plenty of out-of-this-world installations and Instagrammable moments. Award-winning events team, Kilimanjaro, has organised this totally unique illuminated trail. With display accentuating the local flora and fauna and showing-off the stunning historic landscape in a new light.
15 different light displays will form a trail around the grounds of Trentham, accompanied by music around every corner. Guests will be greeted by an incredible bridge covered in fairy lights. From here, visitors will follow the Trellis of Light, weaved with 100,000 individual bulbs, to the magnificent 32ft Christmas tree. From December 2 to January 1, multiple slots are available to book throughout the four-week period. Visitors will journey on a sensory explosion, with a mix of lasers, music and stunning installations providing a little Christmas magic with each step. There’ll also be plenty of opportunities to grab a bite to eat along the trail.
Manchester-based lighting company, dbnAudile, known for their exhibitions and art installations across the country, have designed the atmospheric trail. Tickets start at £14.60 for children and £22.10 for adults; while family tickets are available for £66.40.
