Anything from the trolley?
The government may have announced some foreign travel being reintroduced come May 17, but until then this Birmingham bar is bringing a dose of holiday fun to you. With a drinks cart to be desired, the canalside pub and restaurant is swapping months of cabin fever for cabin cruise with this brand new experience.
Aptly named Dolly the drinks trolley, The Canal House’s new member of staff will assist you in having a great time on their terrace which reopened in April. The airline trolley service at The Canal House features an array of drinks choices that’ll take your outdoor dining meet-up from ground zero to sky high.
You can lay back in-style as the airline-clad bar staff will wheel over the likes of shots of tequila and Jagermeister as well as Aperol Spritz cocktails to your table. Feeling peckish? You can also enjoy an upgrade from those usual cabin crisps by ordering plenty of delicious nibbles and sides like salt and pepper chicken wings and chunky chips from the The Canal House kitchen.
Plus, The Canal House has also launched their Aperol Spritz trees for you and your mates to sip whilst soaking up the rays at Costa del Brum. Their Aperol Spritz trees features a tier with four cocktails with the perfect mix of Aperol, prosecco and soda.
The bar on Bridge Street also has a spritz menu featuring the classic Aperol Spritz alongside more exotic choices such as their Summer Sangria featuring Cointreau Blood Orange,
Passoã, gin, pineapple juice, passion fruit syrup and topped up with lemonade. Or why not sip on their refreshing Garden Spritz with flavours of elderflower, apple, cucumber and mint?
It might not be the Amalfi Coast but with views of the calming waters of Birmingham Canal, fairy lights laced across the terrace and mouth-watering drinks as you catch up with friends and family, we can’t really complain. Plus, The Canal House is prepared with heaters and electric canopies because sadly the British weather likes to rain on our parade.
