It’s been over two decades since the first Lilo & Stitch movie came out. Can you believe it? That makes us feel old. With a live-action remake on the way, the world’s biggest Primark in Birmingham has opened a ‘Hawaiian paradise’ inside the store. With the store’s Primarket Cafe transformed once again.
The Stitch Surf Shack cafe, which is now open until the end of March, replaces the popular Grinch pop-up which featured around Christmas. Those visiting the massive Primark on Birmingham’s High Street will be able to tuck into a limited edition menu, as well as purchase a huge range of in-store items featuring the lovable Stitch.
While it won’t quite compete with the natural beauty of the Hawaiian islands, the new menu includes a range of colourful drinks. Such as milkshakes (like the Surf’s Up Shake and Hawaiian Slushies), fresh fruit smoothies, tropical coffees, hot chocolates and teas.
If you fancy a bite to eat, you’ll also be able to eat Surfboard Subs (giant sandwiches) – like a Classic Margarita and Hawaiian Rollercoaster ride – and waffles. The Tidal Twist Bubblegum Waffle is served with vanilla ice cream, bubblegum sauce, blueberries, sprinkles and whipped cream; The Sunset Strawberry Waffle uses strawberry ice cream, strawberry sauce, strawberries, sprinkles and whipped cream;
A spokesman for Primark said: “Customers in Birmingham can now say ‘Aloha’ to Disney’s Stitch Surf Shack. From now until March, our Primarket café has been transformed into a Hawaiian paradise, the perfect place for customers to relax, recharge and enjoy a limited-edition menu.”
Big fans of the Disney franchise will also be able to purchase a host of adorable items from the Stitch collection. This ranges from cuddly plush toys to soft Stitch onesies, as well as lunchboxes, jumpers, trainers, weekender bags, and a variety of clothing and accessories. Ideal for big Disney lovers in your family.
You’ll find The Stitch Surf Shack cafe on Level 2 of the Primark on Birmingham High Street. It’s open from 11 am–4 pm, Sunday to Thursday, 11 am–5 pm on Fridays and 10 am–6:30 pm on Saturdays.
