An all-day cultural celebration of St. Kitts & Nevis is happening this month. In honour of the former British colony and smallest sovereign state in the Western Hemisphere, St. Kitts & Nevis Heritage Day is back for a fifth time on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club.
Deeply rooted in Birmingham’s long-established St. Kitts and Nevis diaspora, the event brings together the UK’s Kittitian and Nevisian community—filled with rich culture, traditions, and legacy (including food and music) from 12 pm to 8 pm—with more than 1,500 attendees from across the country expected.
Expect an exciting programme of live entertainment, with performers travelling directly from the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. The stellar line-up includes Itebulous, former lead singer of the Ultrasonics from Nevis; St. Kitts’ rising singing sensation Dejour; and acclaimed reggae artiste Virgil Hodge.
The celebration is hosted by the ever-popular Sweet Sister Sensia, while renowned DJs KMD, Bajan Touch, Jus-Us, and Godfather will keep the energy high with an eclectic mix of Caribbean music. Plus, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority will showcase the destination’s latest travel offerings.
Birmingham chef Esmie Stewart, who was born in St. Kitts and moved to the UK in her 20s, will also make a welcome return with her Esmie’s Caribbean Fusion food truck, serving two menus across the day: traditional Kittitian favourites including goat water and cook-up, alongside modern Caribbean Street food.
“Heritage Day provides a wonderful opportunity to engage directly with our diaspora community,” said Chelcie Lewis, St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “It is where conversations about home naturally happen, whether it’s discovering what’s new in St. Kitts, planning a return visit, or introducing the next generation to the island for the very first time.
“We are excited to share the many experiences that await visitors, while highlighting the benefits of our “We Limin” Diaspora Programme, which was created specifically to strengthen the connection between our nationals abroad and St. Kitts and Nevis through meaningful travel opportunities and exclusive benefits.”
Tickets for Heritage Day are just £15 and are on sale now here, while children’s tickets (ages 5 to 15) are £5 on entry, with a £1 donation for under-fives, and on-site parking is available at £5. Adults arriving on the day without a ticket will pay £20 on the door, so booking ahead is well worth it.
