Birmingham’s street food culture is no other. We’ve got some of the best traders in the UK serving everything from smash burgers to Greek BBQ, spicy noodles and jerk chicken. You’ll be able to find some of the very best Brummie chefs at this brand-new food hall coming to Birmingham this spring.
Having found success in Manchester, Society Birmingham will open at One Colmore Square in May. It’s taking over the 9,000 sq ft unit with room for over 350 guests – hosting a mix of street food, craft beer, cocktails, coffee and DJs. Plus, there will be an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining on sunny days.
Much like its Manchester spot, the open-plan dining hall will house five independent kitchens each hosted by a talented food trader – and although no one’s been announced yet, this city has plenty of talent to offer, so we’re excited! If it can recreate its laidback atmosphere too, it’ll be on to a winner.
On top of that, the bar will sit at the heart of Society Birmingham, as it features one of “the largest selection of beers in the city” with thirty-six lines of the world’s best craft beer, including local breweries like Attic and Glasshouse. Plus, the bar will be serving low-intervention and natural wines, alongside a mix of classic and in–house cocktails.
Further details will be announced soon, but we expect Society Birmingham to be open all day, every day – with a coffee bar even serving artisan coffee, teas and soft drinks from the early morning. The stripped-back community space – with high ceiling, vibrant greenery and commissioned murals – will also host a regular line-up of DJs from Thursday to Saturday.
