While divisive upon its release, no one could stop the runaway success of ‘The Polar Express’, or keep it from turning into an instant Christmas classic. The magical tale of a train heading for the North Pole that picks up a boy questioning his belief in Santa Claus includes all the festive feelings you could ask for!
This Christmas, rekindle how you felt on your first viewing (and see real-life magic light up your children’s eyes) with a trip aboard The Polar Express. Vintage Trains brings the wonder of the 2004 motion picture, theatrically re-created aboard a real steam engine, to Birmingham Moor Street.

The two-hour performance (which includes time for selfies with the cast) includes hot chocolate, cookies and the first gift of Christmas—a bell that only rings for those who believe in Christmas (handed out by Santa himself! You can also upgrade to a Premium ticket for a ceramic mug and gift bag.
When does the Polar Express embark?
The Polar Express train rides are every weekend from November 22 to December 23 at Birmingham Moor Street, with four trains per day (five on December 20 and 21). These set off at 12.30pm, 2.30pm, 4.30pm, and 6.30pm (10.30 am also on December 20 and 21). And yes, before you ask, the steam engine does actually leave the station.
How much does it cost?

A standard ticket for two people starts from £91.16, while for four it’s from £182.32. A premium ticket for two, however, starts from £116.60, and a premium ticket for four is from £233.20.
