Whether you like a soft and creamy brie, hard and nutty gruyère, or a blue and funky stilton, there’s a cheese for everyone on this plant—yes, even for the vegans and lactose intolerant. From China to Chile, this thousands-of-years-old product has made curd fanatics of us all.
That’s why we’re expecting everyone to be lining up for Birmingham’s annual celebration of all things cheese. The brie-lliant Cheese Fest is the biggest cheese celebration the city has to offer—with a mix of cheese-based street food traders, artisan cheesemongers, and, what can only be described as, a ripe atmosphere.

Cheese Fest will return on Saturday, April 18, at the Uffculme Centre in Moseley—with two cheesy sessions (11.30am to 2:45pm and 3.00pm to 6.15pm) to indulge in throughout the day. Enjoy everything from cheese toasties to cheesecake, as well as local craft beers and cocktails, across the one-day pop-up festival.
Katie Matthews, Event Manager at Seasonal Markets said: “Cheese Fest is one of our favourite events to put on – it’s all about celebrating incredible food, bringing together amazing traders, and creating a fun, lively atmosphere that’s packed with cheese lovers. It’s always a sell-out, and we can’t wait to do it all over again this year!”
Just some of the cheesy street food includes The Melted Cheese Co, That’s Mature Toasties, Melting Wheel Pasta and, for those with a sweet tooth, Urban Cheesecake. While the market hall features Queso Fine Cheese, The Cheeseworks, Great British Cheese Company, The Cheese Wedge Company and more.

“We absolutely love the vibes and atmosphere at Cheese Fest!” said Tony Jackson from Urban Cheesecake. “It’s such a fantastic event, full of energy and passion for all things cheese. Selling our cheesecake here is a real highlight, and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of the best cheese event around!”
And if that wasn’t enough, the resident DJ for the day, Sam Redmore, will be pumping out the cheesy (and not-so-cheesy) tunes throughout—and with tickets currently just £5 (rising to £7.50 soon), you can’t say that that’s not a bargain, can you? Plus, you can bring your four-legged friends along too!
