If you’re looking to open an Indian restaurant in Birmingham, you need to offer something a little different to stand out. And, the celebrated vegetarian and vegan restaurant and wellness charity from London, OMNOM, looks to be doing just that when it opens a second location in Birmingham this November.
Twice the size of its Islington flagship, OMNOM Birmingham will combine uplifting Indian food, soulful mantra music nights, community wellbeing events, and a commitment to giving back on Fleet Street—for every meal served, a child in need is fed, with OMNOM partnering with UK and Indian charities.

The restaurant’s vibrant menu (full of dosa, daal, curries, etc) is a celebration of India’s culinary roots, created in collaboration with Namaste Village, an Indian vegetarian restaurant group renowned for its cultural authenticity. OMNOM Birmingham will feature a stunning 150-cover restaurant, making it one of the UK’s largest meat-free Indian dining destinations.
The expansive open-plan space will include a dining area, a dedicated bar, and a conservatory and private dining space, in total accommodating up to 200 guests—setting it up for everything from private celebrations and special events to interactive cookery workshops that invite guests to explore the art of plant-based Indian cuisine.
What else will OMNOM Birmingham offer?

OMNOM is much more than just a restaurant. The new Birmingham location features OMspace—a dedicated studio and event venue designed to host yoga, meditation, talks, workshops, and private events. Similar to its London site, it may soon host everything from celebrity book launches to live podcast recordings and sell-out comedy nights, too.
Behind OMNOM sits OmLife, the spiritual and community heartbeat of the project—hosting Soulful Sundays, retreats, and gatherings rooted in the ancient tradition of Bhakti Yoga. A distinct feature of the venue will be a traditional, low-seating area offering an intimate setting for high chai or a meal before or after a wellness class.
“OMNOM began in Islington as an idea, to create a restaurant that feeds more than the body,” said OMNOM founder, Yuvi Rana. “We wanted to bring the timeless wisdom of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of love and devotion, into a modern, accessible setting. To show that spirituality isn’t abstract, it’s something you can taste, feel, and live every day.
“Our new Birmingham home, at twice the size of our London flagship, will allow us to expand that vision. With our new OMspace for wellbeing events and yoga, a restaurant dedicated to compassionate cuisine, and a continued commitment to feeding children in need across the world, OMNOM Birmingham will be a celebration of amazing food, wellbeing events and community.”
