It’s time to admit that summer was a bit of a letdown this year. Where was the sunshine? We’ve written a strongly-worded letter to complain and it seems someone is listening. Because the rest of 2023 is shaping up nicely, largely thanks to Birmingham’s Millennium Point, which has announced five unmissable events for the remainder of the year.
Kicking things off at the award-winning, 354-seat auditorium is the Mean Girls Bottomless Prosecco Brunch on Saturday, September 23. Getting us in the back-to-school spirit is Millennium Point’s first movie event this autumn on Birmingham’s biggest screen. Complete with bottomless prosecco, a delicious brunch and plenty of nostalgia, the cult classic will screen at 1pm for just £35 per person. You go, Glen Coco!
Let’s do the time warp again this spooky season. Millennium Point is also screening the musical comedy horror, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, this Halloween. Bursting at the seams with hits like Sweet Transvestite and Time Warp, expect a non-stop party on Saturday, October 21 at 7pm. Guaranteed to be a weird, wild and wonderful time, tickets are priced at £39.95 per person and come with four Rocky Horror-themed cocktails.
Millennium Point will sprinkle some Christmas magic for its final film screening of the year. The much-loved modern Christmas classic, Elf, has been perfectly paired with festive-themed cocktails on Sunday, December 10. Kicking off at 3pm, this multi-sensory Christmas movie-going experience will feature heaps of movie trivia, uncontrollable laughter, and four unique cocktail creations – plus some take-home cocktail recipes – all for £39.95.
It’s not all about heading to the movies this year at Millennium Point either. Get ready to party at two seasonal silent discos, where three Silent Noize DJs will battle it out for the spot of top DJ playing. Dress up and do the monster mash as the Halloween Silent Disco returns on Saturday, October 28. Then, on Christmas Eve Eve Eve (Friday, December 22), singalong to the very best Chrimbo tunes for the Festive Silent Disco. Not even the biggest Grinch can resist this!
“After a busy few months, we’re thrilled to announce our brand-new events schedule for the rest of the year!” said Rebecca Delmore, Commercial Director at Millennium Point. “Whether you’re enjoying the magic of cinema on our giant screen or dancing the night away at one of our silent discos, there’s something for everyone at Millennium Point this season, and we can’t wait to give guests an unforgettable experience over the coming months.”
If you’ve been wondering how the rest of 2023 is going to play out, worry no longer. Millenium Point has something planned for every step of the way. From Halloween to Christmas, bottomless brunches to silent discos, there’s something for everyone to celebrate.
