Megadeth has announced a huge headline show in the Second City for the ‘Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations’ tour next year. Dave Mustaine and co. will play Birmingham’s Utilta Arena on Thursday, March 18, with dates also penned in for Belfast, Nottingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow, London, and Leeds.
Joining them as support across the full set of UK dates will be fellow legendary metal acts, Black Label Society and Testament. It’s part of the band’s farewell run, with the pioneers of thrash metal set to stop playing shows after a career spanning more than 40 years.
Speaking on the tour, Dave Mustaine said: “This isn’t about saying goodbye. It’s about celebrating everything we’ve built together over the last four decades. Every city has its own story, every crowd has given us unforgettable memories, and we want to come back to celebrate that with the fans who made it all possible.”
“When we started talking about this tour, we wanted it to be a true celebration of metal. Black Label Society and Testament are bands we have tremendous respect for, and having them join us makes these shows even more special. This lineup represents decades of heavy music, and it’s going to be an incredible night for the fans.”

Tickets to see Megadeth go on general sale this week on Friday, August 7 at 10am. You can also get tickets in the artist pre-sale, which takes place on Wednesday, August 5 at the same time.
