Lane7 is not your ordinary bowling alley. Sure it has everything you need for an exciting, fast-paced round of tenpin bowling. But with other hi-tech games such as darts, shuffleboard and beer pong also available, it starts to feel more like an all-round adult playground.
The bowling alley has had a location at The Cube for several years now. Fast becoming one of our favourite places to unleash our inner child. Next summer, however, Lane7 will open a much larger, flagship location at the Bullring & Grand Central. Opening on LinkStreet, which connects the malls, it will offer a wide range of games and a rooftop terrace bar with views of the city centre.
Beyond the bowling, we’re most excited to get involved with Lane7’s retro arcade games, beer pong stations and karaoke. And whether ordering a round of cocktails or strawberry milkshakes for the gang, things can get giddy pretty quickly with all.
Lane 7 has established itself around Britain with locations in Liverpool, Manchester and many more cities. From day one, it’s aspired to be more than just a bowling alley, offering a one-stop shop for the ideal night out. They’ve got a fully-stocked bar with everything from soft drinks and spirits to Champagne and craft ales.
“Birmingham has been a strong city for Lane 7 since we opened our first site. Our sustained success meant we needed something bigger in Birmingham, but, keen to evolve the Lane7 concept, we also wanted something special,” said Tim Wilks, Director at Lane7 Group.
“This is where Bullring & Grand Central came in. That Hammerson is leading the way with how it is evolving its portfolio was evident from our very first discussions. We have worked together to create the ideal space and I am confident we will deliver a new standard for experiential leisure in the city.”
