When Jude Bellingham isn’t living it up in sunny Madrid—reportedly in his £5 million six-bedroom, 7,000-square-foot mansion in the affluent La Finca district—he seemingly hasn’t forgotten his West Midlands roots. The Stourbridge-born midfielder is building a second luxury property right on the outskirts of Birmingham.
Shortly before his mega-money move to Real Madrid in 2023, the former Birmingham City star bought a two-acre plot of land in Barnt Green, an affluent village in Worcestershire about 10 miles south of Birmingham city centre. It is now the future site of a five-bedroom, four-level home, costing approximately £7 million.
What is inside Jude Bellingham’s Barnt Green mansion?
The mansion includes everything from a home gym to a cinema room, a spa with a sauna, an indoor swimming pool, a dedicated trophy room and its very own barber room, while landscaped gardens surround the entire estate. And much like his Spanish estate, the property has enough room to accommodate his whole family: A second separate luxury house is also being built for his parents
Why Barnt Green?
Just the other side of Lickey Hills, Barnt Green is a stone’s throw away from Birmingham, with a 20-minute direct train to the UoB station. Located near the M42, it’s also easily accessible from London, while firmly rooted in the bucolic English countryside (it’s also surrounded by green belt land that can’t be built on).
The village is also full of great restaurants and pubs—including Black & Green and the Barnt Green Inn—as well as highly-regarded local schools, active sports and cricket clubs, and a tight-knit community. It’s also got a history of housing celebrities, with comparisons made to Cheshire’s Alderley Edge or even London’s Knightsbridge.
Who has called Barnt Green home?
The most well-known previous inhabitant has to be fellow West Midlander, former Aston Villa captain, Jack Grealish, while England striker Ollie Watkins and former Birmingham City defender Liam Ridgewell have also called Barnt Green home, as have Demarai Gray and Matty Cash. But it’s not just footballers: R&B singer Jamelia and Gymshark founder Ben Francis also live locally.
