A script from one-sixth of Monty Python, directed by the Muppets mastermind, and starring an iconic performance from Ziggy Stardust himself, Labyrinth was never going to be anything but a masterpiece. Now, 40 years later, catch the original musical fantasy film like you’ve never seen before—‘In Concert’ at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall.
Jim Henson’s one-of-a-kind movie about a teenager’s trip through a maze to save her baby brother from the Goblin King is set to tour the UK in concert next spring. The tour will begin in Oxford on April 13, 2026, before shows in Liverpool, Glasgow, Manchester, Edinburgh and more—this includes a stop in Birmingham on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
‘Labyrinth’’s cult following has only deepened in the nearly 40 years since the film’s release on June 27, 1986. So who isn’t excited to see the movie presented on a huge HD cinema screen, while a live band performs in sync with Bowie’s original vocals? Playing the songs and the score from the soundtrack, composed by Bowie and Trevor Jones, fans will be transported to Goblin City on an iconic stage.

“It’s always incredible when the amazing fans of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth come together to watch (and rewatch!) this beloved fantasy adventure,” says Nicole Goldman, Executive Vice President of Branding for The Jim Henson Company. “With ‘Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: In Concert,’ we are welcoming loyal and new fans to the world of the Goblin King, and celebrating the incredible music of David Bowie and Trevor Jones in a whole new way. It is certain to be a ‘Magic Dance!’”
Starring Bowie and Jennifer Connelly, as well as goblins and creatures from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, enjoy original songs like ‘Magic Dance’, ‘Underground’ and ‘As the World Falls Down’, along with Jones’ orchestral score. Tickets to the ‘Labyrinth: In Concert’ tour in 2026 are on sale from 10am on Friday, October 17, here.
