Too often am I at a club, festival, or gig these days when the bright-glowing screen of a mobile phone blinds my eyes and ruins the vibe. Well, a brand-new electronic music festival wants us to reconnect with the “music in the moment together.” Off Grid invites all attendees to go screen-free on the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Taking place in a secluded Warwickshire woodland site just outside the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, Off Grid takes place on Sunday, August 30. Coming from the teams behind renowned brands LAB11, DNB Collective, and Rock n Rolla, the day-festival will feature 11 hours of live sets from the biggest DJs in house and garage.
“We’re not just putting on another festival,” said Jack Young, co-director of Off Grid and award-winning promoter behind DNB Collective. “We’re creating an experience that brings together the energy and escapism of Ibiza with the mystery and beauty of a hidden woodland setting.
“Collaborating on an experience that is of equal importance to the lineup is paramount to the Off Grid team. It’s a project we genuinely believe will bring people together, create opportunities for local talent and businesses, and become something the region can be proud of for years to come.”
Who is performing at Off Grid?

Birmingham’s very own house producer and DJ, Hannah Wants, who has held residencies in the UK, Ibiza, and the US, will play a one-off B2B set with influential US producer, DJ, and vocalist Todd Edwards. Sam Divine, Majestic, and a special soon-to-be-announced guest will also perform the day-long, multi-stage celebration.
Alex Schmitz, co-director of Off Grid and creator of club brand Rock n Rolla, said: “The uniqueness this site already offers, combined with the natural backdrop of Sutton Coldfield woodland, makes this venue unlike anything else on the UK festival circuit; a hidden gem that feels worlds away, yet is right on our doorstep, creating the perfect atmosphere for music to truly come alive to.
“What excites me most is that we’ve only just scratched the surface – the possibilities this site holds feel truly endless, and we’re only just getting started. With an incredible team now behind this journey, I believe we’re building something that will stand the test of time – our own Ibiza in the woods.
“We invite all who come to Off Grid to be prepared to switch off from online life and enjoy shared connections with music in the moment.”
