It’s a hot one out there today, and while you can try to beat the heat by shutting the windows, closing the curtains, and turning off your electricals, it’s never quite enough, is it? All the cooling fans and paddling pools in the world couldn’t help us today. But what about heading to the West Midlands’ biggest fridge?
Forget your outdoor swimming spots, you can really cool off with real snow at SnowDome in Tamworth. From snow slides in the Snow Fun Park to ice skating, skiing and snowboarding, it’s a refreshing alternative to jumping into a cold shower for the 10th time in a day.

Better still, the heatwave has come bang in the middle of SnowDome’s June Sale, which is currently offering up to 55% off selected activities. This includes savings on skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, Snow Fun Park, climbing and swimming sessions—and is available for bookings made by June 28, for visits before July 19.
“The UK isn’t always prepared for extreme heat, and when temperatures climb, families are often looking for fun ways to stay cool,” said Kirsty Tucker, Head of Marketing at SnowDome. “SnowDome offers a unique escape, where guests can enjoy everything from snow slides and skiing to ice skating and swimming.”
How to get to SnowDome?

The Tamworth attraction is around 30 minutes from Birmingham. You can get a direct 15-minute train from Birmingham New Street to Tamworth, but it’s about a 20-minute walk from there to SnowDome at Leisure Island, B79 7ND, which might be a lot in this heat. Alternatively, drive via the M42.
