Birmingham has spoken. The results are in. Following the 2026 local elections, all 101 council seats are now spoken for (across 37 single-member and 32 two-member wards), and this is now how Birmingham City Council looks. Labour has lost control of the city council after 14 years, while the former Labour leader of the council, John Cotton, also lost his seat during the final count.
