It’s a hot one outside today, and it’s only about to get hotter—so why not try to beat the heat with an iced cold drink? If you can hold out until the end of the month, speciality coffee roaster and café brand 200 Degrees is even handing out hundreds for free in Birmingham.
Helping the Second City cool down during this heatwave, 200 Degrees has a brand-new summer menu filled with refreshing iced drinks, light bites, sandwiches, and sweet treats. Tuck into everything from a Summer Falafel Salad to a Whipped Feta & Roasted Pepper sandwich, and a Bacon & Brie Croissant.
For those after a sweet treat, a range of new bakes is also available—with a Lemon & Pistachio Blondie, Passionfruit Ripple cake, and a Vegan Raspberry Bakewell. But, from the Insta-worthy Iced Pink Guava Matcha to the refreshing Apple and Elderflower Iced Tea, it’s the new iced drinks that are best designed to cool you down.
“We wanted to shake up the matcha game with something new,” said Alex Slater, senior head barista and drinks development lead. “Strawberry and blueberry have had their moment, but the pink guava version stole the show from the first sip. It’s got just the right balance of sweetness and subtle umami, topped with cold foam for that extra sensory hit.”
How do I get my hands on free iced drinks?

To show off these new creations, 200 Degrees is throwing a one-day giveaway with 200 free iced drinks up for grabs on Tuesday, July 22. The first 200 customers through the doors of its two locations in Birmingham can claim one of five brand-new drinks completely free.
This limited-time offer is available from store opening, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. You’ll find 200 Degrees at 21-23 Colmore Row (opens 7 am) and 12 Lower Temple Street (opens 7:30 am) in Birmingham city centre. It’s one drink per customer, and you can choose from the following for free:
- Iced Pink Guava Matcha with Cold Foam
- Cold Brew with Vanilla Cold Foam
- Golden Guava Refresher
- Iced Guest Flat White with Vanilla Cold Foam
- Apple and Elderflower Iced Tea
