Brummie pizza makers, Bare Bones Pizza, have upgraded their DIY pizza kits to create a romantic dine-in experience for two. Planet Doughnut in Shrewsbury are offering Valentine’s boxes of six doughnuts for £13 featuring five different flavours in a love-heart shape (which are all vegan, by the way). The Valentine’s doughnut box includes one strawberry heart filled with delicious mixed fruit jam, one chocolate orange with a sweet orange filling, one lemon cheesecake with a tangy lemon cream filling, one cookies n cream crumb with a crème filling and two mixed Biscoff doughnuts with caramel fillings. Things are about to get steamy this Valentine’s Day with Tiger Bites Pig’s DIY bao kit. 5. Aktar at Home
Sadly, Opheem’s tasting menu has already sold out for this Valentine’s Day but it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on a fancy meal from home, as Aktar Islam’s Pulperia restaurant is still offering a delicious set menu for two. For £150, you can enjoy aperitifs made by the Pulperia team as well as a bottle of Malbec wine alongside their dishes, including smoked octopus carpaccio, 1kg Angus ribeye steak with truffle fries and a selection of sides, plus a chocolate fondant and petit fours to finish. 6. Centenary Lounge
With it being a pandemic, not all of us can spend Valentine’s Day with a special someone, so Centenary Lounge is offering Valentine’s Day hampers which you can send instead. Whether it’s breakfast in bed with a glass of Bucks Fizz and pastries, a wine and cheese selection or a sweet treat of Prosecco and chocolates, Centenary Lounge has something to please your Valentine. Choose from Al Pastor chicken thigh or monkfish on blue corn tostada for starters, followed by Aged Tamworth rolled pork belly stuffed with cornbread, sourdough and black pepper dressing, then a Wnder chocolate slice with a blood orange crema and salted hazelnut crumb. Valentine’s Day in lockdown is all about comfort and Low ‘N’ Slow’s menu is exactly that.
8. Libertine Burger
Burgers + wine + cheesecake = one amazing Valentine’s Day meal. And Libertine Burger is bringing these delights to your door with their Valentine’s collaboration kit with Birmingham cheesecake legends, Urban Cheesecake, as well as Nice Wines. Their kits for two, which cost £49.95, includes a DIY kit to recreate one of Libertine’s burgers featuring crispy smoky bacon, baconnaise, bacon jam, Frazzles and their signature patties. Nothing is more romantic than a wine and cheese night and Arch 13 have curated a range of wine and cheese hampers to suit all tastes and budgets. If you want to go all out this Valentine’s Day (we are in lockdown, after all) then order their package, costing £175, which includes a bottle of Tattinger Champagne and seven different British cheeses alongside crackers and chutneys, all arriving in a wooden gift box. They also have hampers for beer fans and kits to create your own Aperol Spritz, so you feel as though you’re one step closer to a romantic Italian getaway.
10. Rudy’s
Recreate a night in Napoli with Rudy’s pizzas this Valentine’s Day. The pizza restaurant is offering the ultimate night in experience with their meal boxes which include two bake at home pizzas, a bake at home garlic bread, Nocellara olives, two chocolate brownies with orange mascarpone, two of Rudy’s Espresso Martinis and a bottle of Prosecco. You can choose from 10 different pizza flavours, with vegan and vegetarian options available, and simply bake these in the oven and then you’ve got yourself a feast for the eyes. 11. The Pineapple Club
After the Pineapple Club’s success with their collaboration with Land restaurant for Veganuary, the bar is back and they have some lovely Valentine’s creations to enjoy. The Pineapple Club has created an amazing pamper package, known as Better Than A Bouquet, that we’re not sure we want to share with anyone else. The pack features three of the Pineapple Club’s cocktails, plus a massage bar and bath bomb from LUSH in Birmingham and a vegan pick and mix from Mr Simm’s Olde Sweet Shoppe. The bar also has two other Valentine’s packs to choose from that feature either one or two cocktails, with one including chocolate heart truffles as opposed to pick and mix. Either way this sounds like a sweet deal!

12. Bostin Bakery
You needn’t have to celebrate Valentine’s Day for one day this year as Bostin Bakery is offering a box of seven bakes, costing £16.50, for you to enjoy one for each day of the week (but if you’re anything like us, we may just eat them all in one sitting). The Black Country bakery’s Valentine themed cookie box features flavours such as triple chocolate, Millionaire’s shortbread, Nutella, chocolate orange Matchmakers, all with gorgeously gooey fillings.
